BREAKING NEWS: CORONAVIRUS – NO DANGER FOR OUR SURFACES!

With the germ-resistant application of our special Permanon products you can protect yourself and your environment against the current coronavirus, bacteria and fungi in such a way that spreading and infection is no longer possible due to the intensive cleaning of surfaces.

CORONAVIRUS: NO DANGER FOR OUR SURFACES!

REDUCE THE GROWTH OF BACTERIA (VEGETATIVE BACTERIAL CELLS) AND MOLD SPORES/H5>

For many years we have been dealing with the hygiene on the different surfaces in order to limit the spread of bacteria, viruses and fungi. More and more often one hears or reads about the lack of hygiene in hotel rooms, hospitals, nursing homes etc. This could be counteracted if the surfaces were regularly cleaned and protected with our Permanon products.

Like our Canadian partner, see study by Dr. Keith Warriner, PHD.

During the past nine months Dr. Warriner and his staff have carried out a number of tests and experiments on surface modification with the objective being, “the assessment of multiple Permanon products on varying hard surfaces and their ability to reduce the long term growth of differing bacteria.”

ASSESSMENT OF THE ABILITY OF PERMANON SURFACE COATING PRODUCTS

In addition they performed a number of experiments to assess the ability of Permanon Surface products to reduce or eliminate the ability of mould to multiple and grow.

They carried out a number of tests and the products have performed extremely well in the area of repellent surface properties and reduction in the growth of bacteria (vegetative bacterial cells) and mould spore that were placed on Permanon treated surfaces.

NANO SURFACE PROTECTION COATING IMPROVES AND SUPPORTS CONVENTIONAL CLEANING

Infection control, especially in operating rooms (ORs), is a major priority for hospitals. These areas are subject to strict cleaning procedures such as removal of contaminants, disinfection and sterilization from the air and contact surfaces (Mora et al., 2016). Since this is a costly endeavour; new methods or improvements on current practices to limit contamination caused by microbes is under constant investigation.

Most bacteria can adhere to material surfaces to form complex and heterogeneous microbial communities and biofilms (Valentini et al., 1992). Permanon has been demonstrated to reduce the viability of Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus on coated 3 surfaces (no survivors after 6 h). Permanon coated areas in wet or high humidity areas could also resist the growth of mould (Warriner et al., 2013). Permanon coating of stainless steel, polycarbonate, and soda-lime glass lowered bacterial adherence of aerobic nosocomial bacteria (E. coli and S. epidermidis) (Pfeiffer et al., 2016).

Preventative measure as an addition to current infection control practices without requiring extra effort from cleaning staff or changing current cleaning chemicals or chemical suppliers.

Aim of study:
To demonstrate that nano surface protection coating is able reduce the ability of microbes to adhere to surfaces improving and aiding in conventional cleaning

How can I protect myself as far as possible from an infection or what contribution can we ourselves make to this?

With our silicon coating products, it is possible to achieve a germ inhibiting, easily disinfecting effect on the surface! See the following studies:

This has the consequence that the surfaces react strongly hydrophobic (water-repellent) and thus viruses, bacteria and fungi do not find a humid breeding ground on the surface and therefore dry up (dehydrate) and die as far as possible. With our Permanon-coating products Sanides and Silver Line  you can clean and protect the surface at the same time and thus improve the hygiene considerably!

Please contact us if you have any questions about surface protection against bacteria, viruses and the current coronavirus.
